The pirates onboard the Whydah might’ve just been the Robin Hoods of their time. In this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 410), Richard meets with Barry Clifford, recognized globally for his work as an underwater archaeologist recovering the Whydah Pirate Ship, the only authenticated pirate ship in the whole world. Barry tells Richard the legend of the Whydah, a true adventure tale filled with witches, pirates, and treasure. In this segment, Barry brings a host of sunken artifacts from the ship and tells us everything he knows about the true legend of the Whydah, which is equally, if not more, thrilling than the fable.
