For most people, a farm means cows, chickens, and pigs, but for Perry Raso, he thinks of oysters. In this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 409), Richard is in Matunuck, Rhode Island, to tour Perry’s Matunuck Oyster Farm. Perry’s farm is the model for sustainable and ecologically sound practices. His goal is to educate people on the environmental benefits of aquaculture while producing delicious oysters. Richard hops in the water to harvest some oysters, then reaps the benefits at Perry’s restaurant Matunuck Oyster Bar, where he gets to have a taste.
