Most people know Salem, Massachusetts, for its occult presence, but in this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 408), Richard is here to discover a rich history beyond that of the supernatural. He first stops at Salem Maritime National Historic Site to find a replica of the Friendship of Salem. Then, he receives a tour of the town, taking a peek at all the historic sites including the philanthropic House of Seven Gables and the Witch House, the previous residence of Jonathon Corwin, a prominent figure in the Witch trials. Salem’s history includes more than just the witch trials, but Richard still makes a stop at the town psychic, because when in Rome!
