Experience the diversity of Maine wildlife all in one place. In this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 403), we are in Gray, Maine to explore the Maine Wildlife Park. The park houses animals native to Maine that have been injured or orphaned and can no longer support themselves in the wild. No critter is too large nor too small, for this park houses moose to mice. Drawing roughly 100,000 visitors a year, people travel from far and wide to witness Maine wildlife. However, the most popular animal in the park is undoubtedly the elusive moose, known for being difficult to spot despite their enormous size.
