Poverty Lane Orchards is not your typical apple orchard. In this season 3 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 312), we’re in Lebanon, New Hampshire, to tour the unique orchard, which grows the apples used to produce Farnum Hill Cider. The apples are varieties that are all high in tannins and sugars and low in acidity; making them perfect for hard cider (but probably not the grocery store). Amy tours the orchard and gets to try a few different ciders. This orchard might not be kid-friendly, but it sure is fun.
