Known for its great dining and shopping, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is also the jumping-off point for a perfect summer day-trip to the Isles of Shoals, a group of small islands and tidal ledges located seven miles off the coast. In a season 3 episode of Weekends with Yankee, we visited Star Island, the most visited of the nine islands. Come along as we discover Star’s history and admire its stunning scenery, including the view from one of the best porches in all of New England. This video was created in partnership with the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism Development, a proud sponsor of Weekends with Yankee, now airing on public television stations nationwide (check local listings).
