While weeds may not belong in the garden, chef Bun Lai believes they have a place in the kitchen. In this season 3 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 301), Amy travels to New Haven, Connecticut, to join Lai on a foraging mission for edible plants that are also invasive species. Then, it’s on to Lai’s restaurant Miya, where they make ancient sushi and show how incredibly nutritious and delicious weeds can be. After this segment, you’ll never look at your garden the same.
