New England may not be considered a hot surfing destination, but Narragansett, Rhode Island, is the exception. In this season 2 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 7), Richard is on the scene to learn more and experience the waves for himself thanks to local surfer Peter Panagiotis, who says that Narragansett has the best waves on the East Coast. So good that surfers come all the way from California to experience a swell.
