Surprising as it might sound, one of New England’s best food towns can be found in the quiet Northeast Kingdom town of Greensboro, Vermont. In this season 2 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 204), Amy travels to the pastoral locale to sample some of the best cheese and beer money can buy. The first stop is Jasper Hill Farm, which is famous for its expansive cheese operation. Then it’s a quick trip down the road to Hill Farmstead Brewery, where Amy tries a variety of craft beers. Greensboro may be small, but it packs a mighty punch on the New England food scene with its entourage of innovative and passionate farmers and makers.
