In this season one segment from “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 109), we chase the sun through Acadia National Park in Maine with conservation photographer Jerry Monkman. We start on Cadillac Mountain in Mount Desert Island, the first place to see the sunrise in the U.S., where we’re met by stunning views of the Maine coast. From there, we travel to Jordan Pond, while Jerry describes the creative process behind his photography. We end the day with Jerry and Richard chasing the last rays of sunlight to a nearby harbor, admiring the stunning natural beauty of the Maine coast. With views like this, it’s easy to feel inspired.
