It’s always summer at this farm in Hamden, Connecticut. In this season 5 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 501), Richard explores the Two Guys From Woodbridge Farm, known for their exceptional microgreens. Grown in an indoor environment, these plants are pampered up to their harvest, and raised with nutrient-packed water and optimal temperatures. In this segment, we meet Michel Nischan, the four-time James Beard Winner behind Wholesome Wave, a non-profit dedicated to providing low-income Americans with high-quality produce. Richard tours the farm with Michel before joining him in his home kitchen to make a delicious frittata, packed full of autumn flavors and nutrient-dense veggies.
