These Cheesy Apple Pastry Bites are savory, sweet, and oh so delicious. In this season 5 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 501), Amy whips up these addicting fall treats. She starts by caramelizing onions in apple cider until they are a deep, rich brown. Then, she rolls out her puff pastry, garnishing every inch with thinly sliced apples, those sweet onions, and a mound of cheddar cheese. After a brief stay in the oven, the flavors melt together to form a mouth-watering bite of buttery, cheesy goodness that’s just the right balance of sweet and savory.
