Moonrise over Peacham, Vermont by Michael Blanchette
This image is definitely a classic scene of a small New England town with its iconic white steepled church, red barn, rolling hills and harvest moon
Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in South Portland, Maine by Donald Gargano
This shot is nicely composed with the breakwater leading your eye to the lighthouse in distance. Stormy skies with breaks of light add to the mood of the shot
Fog Burning Off in Barrington, Rhode Island by Butch Lombardi
We were drawn to the black and white, fine-art approach to this classic harbor scene. The strong focus on the sailboat in the foreground draws in the eye but is softened by the sun breaking through the morning fog as it casts reflections of the boats in the still water.
One Tug in Portsmouth, New Hampshire by Lydia Williams
This photo provides a different perspective on a classic icon in Portsmouth Harbor. The pop of the red tugboat pulls your eye to the different elements and colors of the scene like the greens of the dock, the water, tugboat hull and bridge.
Rock Wall in Campton, New Hampshire by Cayce Elms
This nice composition depicting the stone wall in the foreground sets of the green field and rolling hills tinted with the subtle colors of fall in the distance
We would like to congratulate the finalists and thank all who entered the New England Icon Photo Contest.
Please take the time to leave a comment to congratulate the finalists and let us know which photo is your favorite. The winner will be announced in the coming weeks.
