Mark Fleming is an editorial and commercial photographer based in Portland, Maine. For nearly two decades, he has been making pictures for everyone from national publications to his next door neighbor. During that time, he has clicked the shutter at 5,000 feet, deep in the Maine woods, inches from a speeding car, in the snow, the sun, and the rain. He loves his job and is happiest telling stories with his camera. Please enjoy this collection of images celebrating some of Mark’s favorite spots captured in his home state of Maine.

  1. Yup, Mark is our Son, his mother (Virginia) and I are very proud of his work and the recent article for Yankee Mag is one he is proud of as well – he really enjoyed the project and talks often about how great it was working with the Yankee staff.

We remember him, when in the 4th grade he got serious about photography – he has loved it ever since. Your 1930s Travel article is a great example of why he loves photography so much – he loves telling a story with his images AND he realizes he is capturing a moment in time that others will enjoy many years into the future – we all will be able to remember ‘how it was way back when’.

And oh, by-the-way, I taught him everything he knows about photography :>) – NOT, all I did was explain the relationship between f-stops and shutter speed – I envy his photo eye!

Thanks Yankee Mag for choosing Mark for your 1930s Article.
