Oven-Fried Potatoes

  • Butter
  • Salt and Pepper


Wash, but do not peel, one potato per person. Slice into 1/4-inch slices and soak in cold water for at least 20 minutes.
Melt 4 Tablespoons of butter on a cookie sheet with sides. Drain potatoes and pat dry. Place potatoes on cookie sheet in a single layer, coating both sides with butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Place in a 425 degr.oven and bake 20 minutes (or until lightly browned) on each side.
