Kinsman Lodge Scones

Yield: 12 scones


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup dried fruit (currants, dried cranberries with orange zest or chocolate chips
  • 1-1/4 cups heavy cream


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Mix all ingredients together gently, but thoroughly. Roll or pat out into a circle about 3/4 inch thick. Cut into triangles and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

  • Fantastic and quick. I add a teaspoon of vanilla or other flavoring also.
