Serve warm or chilled, with poultry or cold cuts.
8 canned pear halves
1 medium-size onion, chopped
1/4 cup seedless raisins
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon salt
Combine all the ingredients except the pear halves in a saucepan. Then add the pears and heat to boiling. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring often.
