Soft Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp grated nutmeg
1 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

grease cookies sheets – or use silmat

Preheat oven to 450 deg (yes, 450)

Sift flour – add in powder, soda and salt. Cream butter – add sugar, stir in vanilla, and eggs – until light and fluffy. Add flour – alternately with sour cream. Cover and chill for an hor or more to firm up dough. Remove 1/3 of dough to work at a time. Cut thick – 1/4″ thickness. Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake 9 to 10 minutes.
