This recipe is from a restaurant which has changed hands and has a completely different type of cuisine. It’s a favorite.
3 pounds sea scallops
1 crown brocoli head
1 pint half/half cream
1 package Swiss cheese
3 tablespoon flour
3 tablespoon butter
1 cup bread crumbs
Salt and Pepper
Make a roux in fry pan on top of stove with flour, butter, dash of salt and pepper. Bake roux in same pan for 15 minutes at 350 degrees (until toast color). Bring back to stovetop and cook on medium heat add half & half cream stirring until thick.
Place scallops in a 13×9-inch baking dish. Layer broccoli, cut in small pieces, over scallops, pour cream sauce on them, layer Swiss cheese to cover, sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and cover with foil.
