Tried and True from Maw-Maw’s kitchen to you. This recipe omits the cloves , the possible reason many people do not like pumpkin pie. I think this recipe will convert the skeptics.
2 eggs
1 can (16 oz. ) solid pack pumpkin
3/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp allspice
1- 13 oz. can evaporated milk
1-9″ deep unbaked pie shell -bought or homemade
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees
Mix all ingredients on low.
Pour in pie shell.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425 F, reduce temperature to 350 F
and bake an additional 45 minutes. Check middle with toothpick.If it comes out clean, pie is cooked. Let cool.
Top with whipped topping
