1/2 cup chicken broth
2 onions, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 bell peppers, diced
1 pound ground chuck
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup pitted green olives
1/3 cup raisins
2 tablespoons capers
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
salt and pepper, to taste
Heat broth in a large skillet and cook onions until translucent. Add garlic and peppers and cook for another 5 minutes. Add meat and brown, then add tomato sauce, stirring well. Add remaining ingredients and cook for another 15 minutes. Adjust seasonings and serve over toasted rolls, Sloppy Joe style.
