Macaroni and Cheese – Baked

Ingredients

8 oz pkg macaroni
3 tbsp butter (or margarine)
2 tbsp flour
3 cups milk
2 egg yolks
2 cups grated cheddar
1/2 tsp salt
few dashes pepper
2 tsp parsley
2 tsp chopped pimento
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs

Instructions

Boil – prepare macaroni. Drain and let cool.
Melt butter, blend in flour – add milk gradually – stirring constantly and boil gently until smooth and thick. Remove from heat. Beat yolks, and add just a LITTLE sauce – stir well and then add to sauce in pan – add a little hot sauce, then 1 1/2 cups cheese – just until melted – add seasonings. Fold in macaroni – turn into buttered baking dish. Toss cheese with crumbs top the macaroni – 450deg – 10 to 12 minutes. Brown and bubbly
