Elaine Noyes’ Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients

2 cups milk
2/3 cup sugar
Pinch salt
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
9-inch baked pie shell

Instructions

Put milk, sugar, salt, cocoa, and cornstarch in top of double boiler and cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Add beaten eggs and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and pour into baked pie shell. Let cool, then garnish with whipped cream.
