2 squares semisweet chocolate
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups instant oatmeal
1/4 cup chopped nuts
In a double boiler, melt together the first four ingredients. Add salt and vanilla, and then stir in oats and nuts. Press into an 8-inch square pan and bake at 425 degrees F for 12 minutes. When cool, cut into bars.
