Chicago Deep Dish Pizza
1 lb. Loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
4 c. Shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 lb. Lean pork sausage, browned and drained
1 1/2 tsp. Oregano
2 – 3 cups spaghetti sauce
1/2 c. Fresh sliced mushrooms
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Press dough
into bottom and up the sides of pan. Sprinkle bottom of crust with 3 cups of
mozzarella cheese. Crumble sausage over cheese. Top with oregano, spaghetti
sauce, mushrooms, parmesan cheese and remaining mozzarella cheese. Place in
500 degree oven; immediately reduce heat to 400 degrees. Bake 30 – 40
minutes or until crust is golden brown.
