Tangy BBQ cocktail franks make the perfect hot appetizer. Make your own sauce for the best flavor.
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup minced onion
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 (16 oz.) package cocktail franks
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium skillet, sautee the onions and butter until the onions are translucent. Add the sugar, seasonings, ketchup, and vinegar and stir until combined and heated.
Arrange the cocktail franks in a small casserole dish and cover with the sauce, tossing to coat.
Bake for 20 minutes, stirring frequently, or until very hot. Serve with toothpicks.
