Apple Crisp
“We cut this into 9 squares and serve it hot for our complimentary breakfast.” Takes less than 10 minutes to prepare for the oven. -The Four Chimneys Inn, Nantucket, Massachusetts

Serves 9.
Ingredients
4 cups cored and sliced unpared apples
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
Instructions
Place apples in a 10-inch-square pan that has been lightly greased with butter. Sprinkle water, cinnamon, and salt over top. With a pastry blender, cut butter into sugar and flour and spread over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.




It was very tasty.
This has been my favorite AppleCrisp recipe for many years. I found it in a cookbook at a local public library and have been making it every fall since then. I love the crisp part do I double that part of the recipe and will sometimes add a little light brown sugar into the mix for a sweet crunch.❤️
