Long hot summer day in Little Compton, RI. the gals just have to cool off.

Little Compton is fertile farm country. All along the backroads there are small stands selling everything from bouquets to eggs to vegetables.

This pharmacy has existed on this corner since before the civil war. It appears, much the same as it is now, in some of the oldest pictures of the town. Inside you’ll find classic tin ceilings, a soda fountain, antique display cases, and the best coffee cabinets in the state. Owned and operated by the Delekta family since just after WW II, it is a town treasure.

The Harvest Moon rises over the Warren RI waterfront. The Warren waterfront packs a lot in it’s short length. Viewed from across the river, it’s a quintessential New England waterfront. You can find lobster boats along side pleasure boats, boat building, restaurants, antique shops, artist’s lofts, a beach, marsh, and residences. While other waterfronst have succomb ot development, Warren’s hangs on to it’s character.

The Methodist Church, built before the Civil War, sits on the north side of the Warren RI town common. The light in it’s steeple, which served as a navagational beacon for ships returning to Warren during the days of sail, was recently re-lit.
