Known as the Granite State, it’s fitting that New Hampshire would house New England’s largest outdoor sculpture park. In this season 4 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 411), we are in Brookline, New Hampshire, to meet John M. Weidman, co-founder of Andres Institute of Art. John believes that sculptures are the artist’s gift to the public, which is why his park is free to enter. Every year, artists from around the world are invited to sculpt at the park and leave their creations behind. Now, the park boasts over 80 sculptures sprinkled throughout the woods along hiking trails, so stumbling across them is a real treat.
