New Hampshire

Unforgiving Peaks

Seen in this photograph is Mount Eisenhower on the left with Mount Monroe and the Davis Path ridge line on the right. An ominous feel as Mount Washington’s base looms in the background. Wind speeds reached 70+ miles per hour, with wind chill values in the negative digits. Few rays of sunlight crept through the clouds, with snow showers. A perfect New England day.

Snow-covered mountains and forest landscape under a moody, cloudy sky with patches of light and shadow.
