Summer always goes by in a flash. This summer is no exception and I have some solid proof. My last blog entry was on August 1, 2008. Now it is the final week of August and this weekend is Labor Day weekend. Yesterday I went for a run around 7:30 p.m. and it was getting dark already. Some leaves have started to change — gasp. College students are back in town. Yellow buses are making test runs and kids, well, they are in a panic. I am sort of in a panic too.
Okay, time to go from panic mode to glass half full mode, and the only way to do that is to squeeze every last bit of summer out of this season…and there is plenty of time for that.
So, before I write my essay on “What I Did During Summer Vacation,” I guess I am going to keep on having a life that resembles an endless summer vacation by going swimming, kayaking, and playing outside as much as possible until snow is landing on my head.
