Ferris Wheel: We were drawn to the vintage look and feel of this image. It has an interesting composition that brings back fond memories of childhood summers and one of our all-time favorite rides at Story Land.

Sunflower Fields: Rather than the expected straight on shot of giant yellow blooms, the photographer approached the shot from a different angle. The bits of yellow peeking out around the edges like sun rays make the flowers almost appear to be looking at the scene, which draws your eye to the barn and bit of landscape in the background.

Buoy Mess: The pop of color in the buoys that are reflected on the still, dark water makes this perfectly centered shot work in its simplicity.
Summer Hay Bale: We’re suckers for rolled bales of hay that aren’t covered in white plastic. The grass is slightly burned, and the large bale in foreground is the focus, while the smaller bales dotted in the distance draw your eye into the field and trees beyond.
Bee on Lavender: The composition and muted tones of this shot appealed to us. You can almost feel the soft summer breeze and hear the buzz of the bee from the way the lavender flowers are angled.
