“Eco-photographers” Jerry and Marcy Monkman share their accumulated knowledge and expertise from 20 years of photographing Acadia National Park in their book, A Photographer’s Guide to Acadia. The guide details more than 50 photo locations in and around the park, and is illustrated with more than 70 well-crafted color photos. Here’s a look at some of our favorites.

  2. I haven’t been to Acadia in almost 15 yrs, I also will remember it forever, and just to make sure my wife an I will be visiting Acadia this July

  3. Acadia is one of my favorite places, and I’ve been looking forward to this book for months. Can’t wait to see the Monkmans’ view of this beautiful region!

  4. One of my favorite childhood memories is picnicking and picking wild blueberries amongst the rocks on top of Cadillac Mountain. Acadia is one of my favorite places on earth.

  6. Of course you do know that Lubec, Corea, Great Cranberry Isle, Thompson Island, etc. are NOT in Acadia National Park…!

  8. Tried to go swimming at Seal harbor in Acadia and almost froze to death.Those true Mainers must have really thick skin !!!!!!!!!!

  9. Love these coast of Maine. I was Born in Hall Quarry Maine.my relations settle threw there many years ago. Settle up at the head of the Sound. The Richardsons.was my great Aunt and Undle. They came up from Mass.build up saw mill there. Hodgdon came up from Mass, Settle on a lsland which is now Swarn lsland . Before it was Hodgdon . Island. Pls stole to he Rockerfellows. . I am on of 14 children there. Not the same island now .way over to crowed.
