Each year, on the third Monday in April, history buffs come together to breathe life into the battles of Lexington and Concord at the annual Massachusetts Patriots’ Day Reenactment. In 2011, photographers Jonathan Kozowyk and Henry Hung were on hand to capture the recreation of events that sparked a revolution for the 2012 Yankee print feature, “Two Mornings in April.” Here’s a closer look at the Lexington and Concord battles re-creation in photos.
