  1. I would have to disagree in some instances where a basement has any amounts of moisture. The “coolness” you feel is from moisture being “cooled” because it is below ground level where the temperature stays at around 54-58 degrees F. Dehumidifying the cool air will actually cause the temperature to rise, but will remove any moisture. The principles of air conditioning is the action to remove moisture, not to add to it.
