Ceiling work? Five-gallon buckets make good, stable stilts. Remove the wire handle on each bucket, turn the bucket upside down, and make a foot stirrup out of duct tape on the bottom. (Double the tape — sticky side to sticky side — on the part your foot slides under so it won’t stick to your shoes.)
