4th of July Crafts | Star Napkin Rings, Table Runner & Firework Swizzle Sticks

Whenever I throw a holiday get-together for family and friends, I like to add a handcrafted touch made especially for that event. This month I’m sharing some ideas for quick, easy 4th of July crafts for table decorations to display on a picnic or dinner table. Using 12×12-inch scrapbook paper or plain red, white, and blue art paper, you can create a disposable table runner, napkin rings, and swizzle sticks for drinks. They’re fun to create, and bright custom-made decor adds an especially festive note to your entertaining. Party on!

Materials for Star Napkin Rings

• 4th of July craft template (linked below)
• printer
• cardstock
• sharpened pencil
• paper in various reds, whites, and blues (plain sheets and/or 12×12-inch patterned scrapbook sheets, such as double-sided scrapbook paper)
• legal-size paper
• regular scissors

How to Make 4th of July Star Napkin Rings

1. Print the star napkin rings template onto cardstock.
2. Place the template over the area of paper you want to see in the finished work. Trace with a pencil.
3. Cut carefully along the lines, all the way to the ends. (If the slots are too short, the star won’t align.)
4. Wrap the napkin ring into a circle and feed the slots together.
5. As a personal touch, write a guest’s name on each star.
