Sweet and Sour Sauce 1
3 tablespoons oil
1 onion diced
1/4 cup minced ginger
1 cup sweet pickle relish
2 cups tomato juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Salt and freshly ground pepper
In a saucepan, heat oil; add onion and ginger and saute for 2 minutes. Add
relish, tomato juice, honey, vinegar and soy sauce and bring to a boil. Mix
cornstarch with a little water. Use to thicken the sauce lightly. Season
with salt and pepper to taste.
Makes 2 1/2 to 3 cups
