A pretty name for a pretty cookie.
1 cups of butter
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
2-1/2 cups sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped almonds
Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the salt to the flour and sift. Add flavoring and half of the nuts. Shape into a roll about 2 inches in diameter, wrap in waxed paper, and chill. Slice very thin, cover cookies with remaining almonds and bake at 400 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes.
