Easy Oven Cleaning I have never used the self-cleaning feature on my one-year-old oven. The method below works like a charm, and my oven is always sparkling clean. I’ve recommended it to all my friends, and they agree that it’s simple, easy and extremely cost effective. Ammonia is very cheap! – Set oven on warm for about 20 minutes and then turn it off. – Put a small dish of full strength ammonia on the top shelf.
Instructions
– Put a large pan of boiling water on the bottom shelf, and let it sit overnight. – In the morning, open the oven door and let it air a while before washing the inside surfaces with soap and water. Even the hard, baked-on grease will wash off easily. Sharon L.
