1 dozen mussels
1/4 cup melted butter
1-1/2 tablespoons flour
2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup clam juice
1/4 cup white wine
1/2 teaspoon basil
With moderate heat, combine all and stir a few minutes until smooth consistency.
Add mussels and steam until shells are open, discard any shells not open.
Alternative option: You may wish to steam the mussels separately and add the sauce with each serving.
