Greek Sesame Cookies

Yield:

Makes 24 cookies.

Ingredients

5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 ounces sesame seeds

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. Melt butter and add it to the flour mixture, mixing well. Make a well and add the milk. Beat the eggs with the sugar until thick, then add to the batter, along with the vanilla. Knead the dough, then roll or pat out cookies, as desired, and roll each one in the sesame seeds. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes.
