This recipe was given to me by my late mother-in-law who was born in Poland. Very simple to make but absolutely delicious! You can make from the first crop or those left on the vine before Winter.
4 or 5 Fresh Green Tomatoes
Flour
Salt and Pepper
Vegetable or Canola Oil
Wash and dry tomatoes. Slice each in thin slices about 1/8″ to 1/4″ thick. Mix about 2 cups of flour with salt and pepper to taste. Dredge tomatoes slices so both sides coated and set aside. Heat oil in frying pan and fry in batches small enough to handle. Fry until nicely golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a sprinkle of salt to your liking.
