CUPCAKES – Basic recipe

Ingredients

1 cup milk
4 cups flour, sifted
5 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two cupcake pans (12 cups each). In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and sugar. Add the beaten eggs. Add the milk and mix to combine. Add sifted flour and baking powder and stir thoroughly. Fill the cups of the cup cake pans 1/2 to 3/4 full and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. After the cupcakes are completely cool, they can be covered with any kind of frosting or topping. Makes 2 dozen.
