Banana Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup mashed bananas (2)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups oats
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream butter and sugar. Add bananas, egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine oats, flour, baking soda and salt; mix well and add to creamed banana mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop cookies onto a cookie sheet. Bake approximately 8-10 minutes, depending on size of cookies.
