Each year, on the third Monday in April, history buffs come together to breathe life into the battles of Lexington and Concord at the annual Massachusetts Patriots’ Day Reenactment. In 2011, photographers Jonathan Kozowyk and Henry Hung were on hand to capture the recreation of events that sparked a revolution for the 2012 Yankee print feature, “Two Mornings in April.” Here’s a closer look at the Lexington and Concord battles re-creation in photos.

I am trying to contact the Patriots’ Day re-enactor who plays the part of Prince Estabrook (first black to serve in the Militia) in the first battle on the Lexington Green on April 19th.’re-enactor.   2. What history do you have re the Battle if Bunker Hill with Colonel Thomas Knowlton and his son. My grandmother was a Knowlton so am interested in that history.
