My wife and I were there for this wonderful communal feast. Lots of the locals that came brought along contributions to share! It was truly a memorable day. And, no kidding or exaggeration, they were the best beans I’ve ever had! Kudos to Tom for keeping this delicious tradition alive.
Sadly, Tom Curren passed away last December 30, 2023, quietly in his sleep. He was very proud of his beans, but more so proud to spend his lifetime preserving the values and traditions of a simpler time. His obit can be found below. As it says “keep
a weather eye out, listen to The Band and Bob Dylan, and root for the Boston Red Sox in his
memory.”. And perhaps….bake up some beans….
