Some folks come to the tiny town of Harrisville, New Hampshire, for tranquility, and others come to purchase a custom-built Ducati motorcycle. In this season 3 segment of “Weekends with Yankee” (episode 303), Richard heads to Harrisville to meet motorcycle designer Walt Siegl, whose list of clientele includes A-list celebrities. Siegl’s custom-made bike shop sits in one of the town’s restored mills overlooking the river, undoubtedly adding a romantic quality to his craft. It is here where he custom builds bikes relying heavily on client input, something he says contributes largely to his success. While talking to Siegl, it’s clear that he builds more than just bikes, he builds art.
