Meet Vermont Trailblazer Athlete Mirna Valerio (AKA the Mirnavator)

Meet the woman who does it all in this season 6 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 603). Yankee Senior Editor Ian Aldrich is in Montpelier, Vermont, to meet Mirna Valerio, known online as the Mirnavator. Mirna gained a social following from her blog “Fat Girl Running” where she breaks stereotypes and dismisses societal standards as a highly active, plus-sized woman. She settled in Montpelier for its vibrant outdoor community and easy access to trails. In this segment, she takes Ian to one of her favorite trails for a hike and talks about her social media presence. An inspiration to many, Mirna is changing the way society views “fitness”.
