RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain

If modern conveniences are your thing, you’ll find them all at RiverWalk Resort, which opened in 2016 on the site of a former paper mill. Offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom luxury suites appointed with kitchens, fireplaces, soaker tubs, and mountain views, RiverWalk continues to grow. There’s also a winery, an Italian restaurant, and a pool that doubles as a skating rink in the winter.

Profile Motel and Cottages

Clean and simple, this is no-frills lodging at its finest. Options at Profile Motel and Cottages range from fairly simple motel rooms to a suite with a kitchenette to a five-bedroom cottage. A heated pool and a fire pit will welcome you after a day of adventuring.

The Kancamagus Lodge

Located at the start of the scenic Kancamagus Highway (and just a mile from Loon Mountain Ski Resort and within walking distance of shopping and dining), the motel-style Kancamagus Lodge makes an excellent base from which to launch your area explorations. There’s an indoor pool, a couple of fire pits, and an in-house sports bar. The on-site restaurant, Brittany’s, serves up home-style meals, with balcony seating available when the weather is good.

The Red Sleigh Inn

With just six guest rooms, this B&B-style inn delivers the personal touch. The owners are friendly and always ready with helpful recommendations, and the hearty breakfasts are locally sourced. Every room is different, but each has its distinctive charms, from the Rose Room with its garden view, electric fireplace, and Jacuzzi, to the antique furnishings and panoramic mountain view of the Lavender Room. The Red Sleigh Inn is located on a side street, just a short walk from dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Indian Head Resort

The prime location of Indian Head Resort puts the entirety of the White Mountains at your disposal, but you’ll also have plenty of reasons to stay in: for instance, huge plasma TVs in every room, lots of kids’ activities, and an award-winning dining room. From its modest campsite beginnings in 1913, Indian Head Resort now offers 98 rooms, 40 cabins, and four bungalows. The 100-foot observation tower offers the best view of the popular Indian Head Rock profile on nearby Mount Pemigewasset.

Mount Coolidge Motel

Located by a stream on the edge of Franconia Notch State Park, Mount Coolidge Motel is a tidy, budget-friendly, family-owned operation with fantastic mountain views, open from late April through October.
